I've been a member for over a year, but am now finally going public because of a certain squealing "picnic" I've got going on in my smoker right now. :-)

Specs:

Mike W. -- late 30 something year old

Broomfield, Co

Analog MES 30" -- highly modified

I've smoked the usual suspects (with varying levels of success) -- shoulder, brisket, turkey, ribs

But I love to experiment with my smoker -- burgers, ribeyes, bacon, salmon

I've never checked the "Roll Call" thread before, but holy sh*t...this site is blowing up! New people sprouting from everywhere! Good for you Dave!

P.S. If you other newbies have not tried Chef JimmyJ's smoked turkey gravy recipe from this site, you are not living! I would literally bathe in it if I could......  :-)

Thanks everyone! I've got an 8 lb'er shoulder in right now. I'll be posting qview soon!

Glad you joined the group. The search bar at the top of any page is your best friend.
About anything you wanna know about smoking/grilling/curing/brining/cutting or slicing
and the list goes on has probably been posted. Remember to post a QVIEW of your smokes.
We are all smoke junkies here and we have to get our fix. If you have questions Post it
and you will probably get 10 replies with 11 different answers. That is because their
are so many different ways to make great Q We all have our own taste.

Happy smoken.

to SMF!  We are so glad you joined us! Glad you decided to pop over here.

If you didn't read the "Terms of Service" notes.....please do.  There are a few things that everyone should know about those pesky little rules before plunging into the forums and some guidelines of how to interact within the forums. Off site links are not allowed here at SMF per Jeff. Not that you have done anything wrong....just a little bit of FYI for new members!

If you need any help roaming around the forums....just holler!  Happy to help out!

Huh? I didn't post any "Off site links". And I'm far from a new member. First line of my post states I've been a member for over a year...just never posted anything! I consider that my internship!  :-)

I don't blame you. There are a ton of new members and it's got to be hard to welcome everybody. No worries!

Mike....this is just part of my welcome to everyone who is in roll call.  We have several long time members who don't know the new rule too.  Not a problem.....just my "normal" message to everyone.
