Wanted to try the southern delicacy of smoked bologna. It never sounded appealing to me, I'm happy to report I was wrong. I deluded the BBQ sauce with some apple juice for the mop. It worked really well, I just wish I could have left it in a little longer to get some kind of bark, but the kidos were restless so I pulled it at 3 hours.

Great looking bologna. I like the nice diamond hash for presentation. Looks like its great sandwiches this weekend! Brian

Was going to smoke some dogs for the kidos and had some leftover bologna... so, twice smoked bologna sliders for me

I just wish I had had some coleslaw to put on top!

A great summertime meal. Who in their right mind doesn't like bologna?

Jeff  Did you put any additional seasoning on that baby? if so. what? b

I put some rub on them witch was just a combination of two store bought rubs: Corky's rib rub & BACK-YARD Jalapeno Southern Style Seasoning.  I also glazed them again with Dr. Pepper BBQ sauce (found recipe online) that I diluted with apple juice.

Thanks for the kind words guys!

Now you need to make the "Mississippi Peace Maker" sandwich.  A slice of smoked bologna, pulled pork, cole slaw, and a little more bbq sauce on top.

Go by a loto ticket right now, because you are on point my friend. I was watching a YouTube video on that yesterday and have the fixings in the smoker right now LOL!! They are going to be peace maker sliders.
