    No i deboned them. I picked up 2 pack of butts for 99cents a lb and halfed them to about 5lbs each. I have a recipe for cure for 5lbs of belly. Took awhile to find it cause everyone wants to use freakin grams and percentages and metric crap . But i finally found one with teaspoons and table...

    Ive made bacon out of pork belly but never boston butt. Got one right now im goin to cure. I was wondering though has anyone or does anyone slice the butt in half horizontally? I dont want pieces of ham i want bacon. Im assuming i ise the same curing recipe for the pounds of meat i have as belly?

    I just use a smoke tube in my pit boss i have three of the large plastic blue things you freeze to put in a cooler . I use those

    Thinking of buying a 5lb log of balogna and smoking it . Anyone ever done it? Temp? Flavor of pellet? Im assuming low temp around 180 maybe? How long to smoke it?

    I was reading trouble shooting on the pit boss web site and it said if your stack is not all the way open it can cause those swings so i opened all the way cooking again sunday so ill see what happens. Im in south louisiana so we dont really have cold weather it was 72 yesterday when i was cooking

    I leave the setting on p4 wich is the default setting they recomend . Yea maybe i just didnt cook long enough tonight i only cooked about 45 min reverse seared some steaks
